Studio Ceramic Mug

12oz hand-thrown stoneware mug with a satin glaze. Heavy in the right places, light everywhere else.

Each mug is wheel-thrown in a small ceramic studio in Stoke-on-Trent, then bisque-fired, dipped in a matte off-white satin glaze, and fired a second time at 1240°C. The result is dishwasher- and microwave-safe, won't craze under normal use, and is heavy enough that it doesn't blow over the second you walk away. Because every mug is thrown by hand, the wall thickness varies by 1–2mm and the handle angle varies a few degrees. We sort the obvious wonky ones out before shipping; the subtle ones go out as-is — that's the point.
